Duran Duran Goes On Top

Filed under: Uncategorized | Back to: Homepage

Duran Duran’s “A View To A Kill” is now considered to be the best ‘Bondiana’ headlining song. James Bond and Duran Duran, sounds very optimistic – for real. This information is supported by the results of questioning carried out by the Gigwise music portal. Surely it’s readers were not mistaken. “A View To A Kill” was written by Duran Duran together with John Barry as a theme for this movie back in 1985. The second place is taken by Shirley Bassey’s “Goldfinger” which was presented in 1964. The third spot was given to Sir Paul McCartney’s “Live and Let Die” – 1973. Until this day many viewers and critics believe that those musicians who are being presented in ‘Bondiana’ are the best. It cannot be reversed or changed because definitely they’re worth of it. Here is the full list of names:

1. Duran Duran – “A View To A Kill”

2. Shirley Bassey – “Goldfinger”

3. Paul McCartney – “Live And Let Die”

4. Carly Simon – “Nobody Does It Better”

5. Shirley Bassey – “Diamonds Are Forever”

6. Nancy Sinatra – “You Only Live Twice”

7. Matt Monro – “From Russia With Love”

8. Louis Armstrong – “We Have All The Time In The World”

9. Tina Turner – “GoldEye”

10. Alicia Keys and Jack White – “Another Way To Die”

Filed under: Uncategorized | Back to: Homepage

nio 2 | 4’s multi-effects engine includes superb guitar amp simulations, filters, delay, chorus, phaser, flanger, distortion, EQ, Reverb, Tremelo, and others, many derived from the effect algorithms of Novation’s synths, most notably the Supernova II.

nio 2 | 4 provides a unique and truly flexible monitoring solution, with two dials close to hand and independent switching between three different monitor mixes. This, combined with four phono (RCA) outputs and flexible metering, make nio 2 | 4 an ideal solution for laptop DJs and live performers.

Two inputs are available for recording high quality audio into the DAW. Both an instrument jack and microphone XLR with phantom power are provided. As an alternative to these inputs, a pair of phono (RCA) inputs can be used to record a stereo signal, from a record deck, CD player or synthesizer for example.

Led Zeppelin Shall Tour Without Plant

Filed under: Uncategorized | Back to: Homepage

Led Zeppelin’s bass guitarist John Paul Johns has approved and confirmed some old information about the fact that his legendary band is about to start the world tour without Robert Plant, said Gigwise. After Zeppelin’s historical concert in London last year various rumours kept on giving hopes that Plant will return. However, a singer just denied everything by saying that nothing can be more funny than to think of his come back. Many fans thought that these denials are strange, unbelievable and even slightly rude. After all, why can’t this guy do something with his present in order to restore the past? Alison Kraus, a country singer with whom Plant was recently recording and touring is often blamed for his stubborn position – classical situation by the way.

Currently, the band is searching for someone else who will be able to replace this difficult going musician. Those may be, Miles Kennedy (Alter Bridge), Jack White (White Stripes) and possibly Steven Tyler (Aerosmith).

Bono Is About To Write!

Filed under: Uncategorized | Back to: Homepage

In 2009 the leader of U2 Bono is planning to work as a columnist for The New York Times, said Rolling Stone. As the editor in chief Andrew Rosenthal says a musician shall write up to six/ten pieces of material on various topics including everything from poverty in Africa to Frank Sinatra. Rosenthal also noted that Bono has agreed to work for them for free. Isn’t it amazing? However, Bono is doing great and his charity activities are just awesome. It seems that Bono is about to write all these articles at the peak of his touring activity which is dedicated to the release of his band’s 12th studio album. A name and the release date is not known so far. In addition to this, The New York Times is not going to stop there, and shall invite Queen’s guitar player Brian May as well. Brian May will be a perfect choice too – that guy is a scientist after all.

Just for the reminder, Bono is not trying himself in journalism for the first time. Back in 2006 the leader of U2 had edited The Independent newspaper issues once in a while, and in 2007 – Vanity Fair. In September this year he wrote for The Financial Times about the latest UN summit.

Linkin Park And CSI

Filed under: Uncategorized | Back to: Homepage

Linkin Park is about to popularize it’s new single “Leave Out All The Rest” with the help of CSI series, said Rolling Stone. This song belongs to the band’s latest studio album “Minutes to Midnight”, and will be played in one of the episodes (possibly more than once). Premiere of the new episode shall begin on November 6. Also, the episode where this new single will be played should be named after it, so nobody can miss this event. However, Linkin Park is not the only band which is trying to use CSI as it’s ‘popularity pusher’. The Who and maybe some others are planning to present themselves in the new episode of CSI as well. More information shall be available soon.

“Leave Out All The Rest” is the fifth and probably the last single from “Minutes to Midnight” album, which was released in 2007. Currently it stands on the eleventh position according to the Billboard Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart.

LCD Soundsystem

Filed under: Uncategorized | Back to: Homepage

The leader of LCD Soundsystem James Murphy had created the side project, said New Musical Express. Besides him it will include a former musicians from Hockey Night Paul Sprangers and Scott Wells, plus the LCD’s drummer Pat Maloney.  This new band is still staying without a name. James added, “We’ve gone back and forth for months, there’s no way to say what the band name is. Pat and I are the drummer and the bass player”.  He also noted that while writing a new material they’ve been trying to stay with the traditional rock sound.  Murphy is planning to release the new album sometime during the following year, and let’s hope it shall happen! DFA record label’s representatives are proving this information by saying that it shall be out in the first half of 2009. It is simple, more side projects they will create, more fun their fans shall have in the future.
